To perform backups
Back up your information regularly to keep your archived data and files
up- to- date. Use the Backup utility in Windows operating system and back
up to CD- Rs or to another machine.
To install software
Agilent Logic Analysis System Software
The Agilent 16900 Series logic analysis systems are shipped with Logic
Analysis system software already installed, including any licensed optional
products that you may have purchased. The licensing process (described
below) has been performed and the (*.lic) license file is in place.
To upgrade/reinstall the logic analyzer software or to install the logic
analyzer software onto your PC for offline processing:
• On legacy 16900 Series logic analysis systems that were shipped with
an application CD, insert the application CD and click INSTALL
PRODUCTS>Install Logic Analyzer. To install the logic analyzer software
onto your PC for offline processing, insert the application CD into your
PC’s CD- ROM drive, click INSTALL PRODUCTS>Install Logic Analyzer.
Alternatively, you can also download and install the Logic analyzer
software from www.agilent.com/find/la- sw- download.
• On 16900 Series logic analysis systems with serial number of
MY51420101 or higher and Windows 7 operating system, download the
Logic analysis system software from
http://www.agilent.com/find/la- sw- download and then install the
software using the downloaded file. These systems are not shipped with
an application CD. You need the Agilent Logic Analyzer software
version 5.20 or later for these systems.
Note that newer versions of the Logic Analyzer software will automatically
uninstall the previous version as a step in the upgrade. (User files in the
"Documents and Settings" folder are not affected.)
