Environmental Considerations
To ensure optimum 4072/4073 tester accuracy and performance, be sure to comply with the following
environmental conditions.
Temperature and humidity
The measurement accuracy is specified at the following temperature and humidity:
Temperature: 23 °C ± 5 °C (73 °F ± 9 °F)
Humidity: 5% to 70% RH (The 4073A/4072B/4073B must be free of condensing.)
NOTE After the SMU calibration, the temperature change must be less than 3 °C.
In addition to the above temperature and humidity conditions, Agilent Technologies recommends
that the following conditions be satisfied for measuring low-current and low-voltage with the
4073A/B:
Temperature change: Within ± 1 °C after the calibration
Temperature change period: ≥ 10 minutes
Humidity:
≤ 50%
The 4072/4073 must be operated under the following conditions:
For the 4072A:
Operating temperature: 5 °C to 40 °C (41 °F to 104 °F)
Storage temperature: −20 °C to 60 °C (−4 °F to 140 °F)
For the 4073A:
Operating temperature: 5 °C to 35 °C (41 °F to 95 °F)
Storage temperature: −20 °C to 50 °C (−4 °F to 122 °F)
Storage humidity: ≤ 80%
For the 4072B/4073B:
Operating temperature: 5 °C to 30 °C (41 °F to 86 °F)
Storage temperature: −20 °C to 50 °C (−4 °F to 122 °F)
Storage humidity: ≤ 80%
NOTE When using the flat panel display with the 4072/4073, the following conditions must be satisfied,
in addition to the conditions shown above.
Operating humidity: 20% to 70% RH (no-condensing)
Storage humidity range: 20% to 85% (−20 °C to 50 °C, −4 °F to 122 °F)
20% to 55% (50 °C to 60 °C, 122 °F to 140 °F)
