20 Agilent 4100 Microwave Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometer Site Preparation Guide
Environmental Conditions
The area selected for the operation of an Agilent 4100 MP-AES
instrument must be free from drafts, corrosive atmospheres and
vibration. Sample preparation areas and materials storage facilities
should be located in a separate room.
The area should be a dust free, low humidity environment. Air-
conditioning is strongly recommended for control of the
environment.

NOTE
For optimum analytical performance, it is recommended that the ambient
temperature of the laboratory be between 20–25 °C (68–77 °F). The ambient
temperature must be constant, with the maximum acceptable temperature
change being 2 °C (3.6 °F) per hour to comply with performance specifications.
The maximum temperature change before a recalibration is required is
±10 °C
(±18 °F).
