3 Operating in Electron Ionization (EI) Mode
To Close the Analyzer Chamber
Materials needed
• Gloves, clean, lint-free
• Large (8650-0030)
• Small (8650-0029)
Procedure
1 Ensure all the internal analyzer electrical leads are correctly attached.
Wiring is the same for both the standard EI and CI ion sources. The
extractor EI ion source has an extra wire leading to the extractor lens.
The wiring is described in Table 14 and illustrated in Figure 13 on page 81
and Figure 14 on page 82. The term “Board” in the table refers to the
feedthrough board located next to the ion source.
