4.4 Lock and Unlock the Handset
The handset can be locked to prevent unauthorized use. If this function is activated, a
PIN code has to be entered, for example, to switch on the handset, to answer an
incoming call etc. The default phone lock code (0000) can be changed to any 4–8 digit
personalized code.
1 Press “Menu”.
2 Select “Settings” .
3 Select “Locks”.
4 Select “Phone lock”.
5 Select “Auto phone lock”.
6 Select “On”, “On in charger”, or “Off”.
7 Enter PIN code. If a user forgets the PIN code, it can be reset by the system
administrator.
8 Press “OK”.
NOTE: If configured in the WinPDM/Device Manager, an emergency call can be made
while the handset is locked. See Configuration Manual, WLAN Handset,
TD 92923EN.
