Shipping procedure for
contaminated pumps
ROUGH DECONTAMINATION
PROCEDURE
The pump must be disconnected from its installation and isolated
electrically.
Install the pump under a suction hood.
It must remain there throughout the operation.
General sweeping
Fit the DN 50 blank off flange with anti---suckback valve on the inlet
connector.
Sweep with dry nitrogen using the injector at an absolute pressure of
1.1 to 1.5 bar for 30 minutes.
Stop the nitrogen flow.
Pressurize the pump
Blank off the outlet port.
Pressurize the pump with dry nitrogen to an absolute pressure of 1.1
bar using the injector.
