Chapter 8 I/O Modules
Remote I/O Modules
Remote I/O refers to I/O that is not located in the local chassis and is connected
to the controller via a communication network.
The ControlLogix controller supports the use of remote I/O via these networks:
• EtherNet/IP
• ControlNet
• DeviceNet
• Universal remote I/O
