DLM-600 installer & user manual Rev. 1.3 16-11-2011 17 / 39
"Acceptation" programming for this input.
Private tone protocol
The DLM-600 shall call the assigned telephone number(s) and transmit a siren tone. The alarm can be
accepted by the called party by pressing the "9" button on a DTMF telephone. The DLM-600 will now
disconnect the line.
Once the connection to the DLM-600 is established, it is also possible to carry out other functions before
the message is accepted, with key ‘9’. The remaining functions are described in the section "Outputs
activated by remote control".
Private speech Protocol
If the DLM-600 is equipped with an optional plug-on speech board (art. 004162), the events can reported
as a speech text. The speech texts can be recorded with a simple "recording application" in the
AlphaTool software. For further explanation about speech recording see 'Speech text recording".
All alarms and / or restore messages can be accepted by the called party by pressing "9" key on a DTMF
telephone. After receiving the acceptation tone the DLM-600 will disconnect. Once the connection to the
DLM-600 is achieved, it is also possible to carry out other functions before the message is accepted,
with key 9. The remaining functions are described in the section "Outputs activated by remote control".
DIAL ATTEMPTS
Here you can program the desired number of dial attempts per telephone number. The maximum
number of dial attempts is 9. The dial attempt is per event / per telephone number.
TEST REPORT
Here you can determine if a periodic test report is sent to check if the DLM-600 dialer and the analog
telephone line it is connected to both function correctly. A 24-hour is a message that will be sent every xx
hours. The interval time of the test message can be set between 1 and 255 hours. The default
programming is 24 hours.
DIALER NAME
This is a free text field of maximum 16 digits that is sent with the SMS text message to identify (name)
the specific DLM-600 dialer.
RING-IN
The option ‘ring-in’ will determine how the DLM-600 dialer handles incoming phone calls. The option
‘Data’ is used for up / downloading (via the GSM data channel) of the DLM-600 with the AlphaTool
software or for remote controlling the outputs on the DLM-600 by a DTMF telephone. The following
programming options are available:
Disabled: the DLM-600 will not pick-up the telephone line
Single ring-in: the DLM-600 will pick-up the telephone line after 2 rings
TEST REPORT INTERVAL
Here, the interval time of the test message is programmed, the value can range between 1 and 255
hours.
PREFIX
In the GSM back-up mode the prefix is used to force a switchover to GSM. All telephone numbers
programmed in the external PSTN dialer or analog control panel with integrated analog dialer will be
transmitted via GSM regardless of the status of the connected analog (PSTN) telephone line. The prefix
is a 3 digit number. Its advised to also program a ‘W’ between the prefix and the telephone number.
