3.10 Credit Operation
T
he credit operation feature allows for the testing of the credit card connection
and provides the ability to set a voucher number. Navigate to the Credit
Operation menu by entering the Engineer Operation menu and pressing Credit
Operation. Once in Credit Operation, press Confirm Connection to confirm the
OPUS-7xxx credit card read head status is okay, the Flex Card read head status
is okay, and the host communication status is OK.
[Fig. 3.10A] The example shows the host could not be reached, as designated by the ‘ERROR’ code

et a voucher number by pressing the Set Voucher No. button. Once in the
Voucher Number menu, enter the desired voucher number, press E, press OK to
confirm, and press Return.
3.11 Testing the TCP/IP Configuration
T
he standard communication protocol for OPUS devices is the AMINET protocol.
This protocol defines how the OPUS device communicates over TCP/IP. To
verify the AMINET connection, enter the Engineer Operation menu and press
Next to continue to page two. Select AMINET Process. A pop-up window is
displayed detailing the connection status.
