Flow Adjust
Flow Adjust is a utility designed to calibrate the internal low meter inside the 3050 ana-
lyzer. In order to calibrate the low meter, an external low meter is needed to compare the
low reading on the analyzer with the actual low.
Gas Factor
Check Gas Factor if you run gas mixtures.
Flow Meter Span
Check Flow meter Span if you run pure gases.

To calibrate the internal low meter:
1. Run a sample into the sample intake of the analyzer.
2. Connect the low meter to the exhaust line of the analyzer.
3. Turn on the analyzer and wait for the analyzer to control the oven temperature
at around 60 degrees Celsius.
4. Then click on the Flow Adjust button from the Monitor tab.
Wait a few minutes for the analyzer to control the low. After a few minutes, the text ield
labeled External will unlock as shown in Figure 4-11a..
Enter the value displayed on the external low meter and click the Update button. The Ex-
ternal ield will lock again and the conigurator will calculate a new Flow Span and send it
to the analyzer. Then the analyzer will attempt to control the low again and when it’s done,
the External ield will unlock again. You can repeat this process until the value of the Inter-
