All of the coniguration parameters of the analyser can be modiied by the “write one or
multiple holding registers” command. In most cases it is a one step operation involving set-
ting the contents of the corresponding register. Ten different examples of using this com-
mand are presented below. The irst example is presented with all “request” and “response”
formatting information. For brevity, the remaining examples list just the key register infor-
mation.
Example 1: Alarm Enable
TASK.
Enable Alarm Output. Device address is 2.
ACTION.
Write one holding register (function 06). Register address = 102 (holding register #40103).
Value = 1(1-enable, 0-disable).
