Fill the engine through the ller neck.
Keep the level within the range of gauge marks imprinted in the
dipstick (1). The lower mark shows the lowest possible oil level,
the upper mark indicates the highest.
Rell the oil to the upper oil level mark (1). The oil volume is 7 l
(1.85gal US) including the oil lter volume.
Note
After relling, start the engine for 2–3 min. Check tightness of
drain plug and lter.
Stop the engine and wait for 5 minutes until the oil runs down
into the engine sump. Then check the level with the oil dipstick.
Beware of the risk of scalding when draining hot oil.
Let the oil cool down below 50°C (122°F).
Follow the re-ghting measures.
When changing oil, check that the old oil has been
drained from the tank completely. Do not mix dierent
types of oils.
Change the oil after 6 months at the latest even if
500hours have not been worked. Exchange oil in the in-
terval that comes rst.
Use recommended lters only; refer to the spare parts
catalogue. Use recommended oils; see Chap. 3.2.1.
Catch the drained oil and do not let it soak into the
ground.
Used oil and lters are environmentally hazardous waste
– hand it over for disposal.
