Use of SIP
SIP, initial of Session-Initiation-
Protocol, it is an application-layer
control (signaling) protocol for
creating, modifying, and
terminating sessions with one or
more participants. These sessions
include Internet telephone calls,
multimedia distribution, and
multimedia conferences. In short,
SIP is a most commonly used
protocol that has been used to
interconnect SIP Enabled PBXs
and/or SIP User Agents to each
other to establish voice and video
sessions between SIP based devices over IP Network.
