OPTICAL ISSUES
The color of the image
is not accurate
The brightness adjustment dial is not in the right
posion
Adjust the brightness dial to a higher or lower set-
ng for color clarity (too bright will wash the image
out, too dark will color it with a dark yellow hue)
No lter is used when needed, or lter is in use
when not needed
Remove color lter if natural light is desired, or in-
sert desired lter for added contrast
MECHANICAL ISSUES
The objecve touches
the cover slip
The cover slip is not standard sized (-2L only) Replace the cover slip with the appropriate 0.17mm
thickness slip
Unable to move the
slide smoothly
The slide is not secured correctly (-2L only) Adjust the slide to use the stage clips and secure
the sample
The stage plate is not inserted (-2L only) Insert the correct stage plate for your glass media
