Stopping Antenna Rotation
a. If monitor only, take control with SCDI A or SCDI B.
b. Set REX/SDP A to maintenance standby.
c. Idle REX/SDP A channel
d. Set REX/SDP B to maintenance selected.
e. Idle REX/SDP B channel
f. Select MSSR B to maintenance standby.
g. Select MSSR A to maintenance selected.
h. Right mouse click on the APG and select detailed status and control.
i. Select the stop rotation button.
j. All transmitter power supplies and amplifiers will turn off and the antenna will stop.
Removing and Replacing the ASR-11 Antenna Ladder Slides:
a. Inside the pedestal room set the safety switch to “0”.
b. Open antenna’s platform access door.
c. On the antenna platform install the antennas stow pin.
d. Remove the lower ladder slider assembly from the ladder as follows:
a. Remove the end cap hardware using wrenches. Remove the end cap on one end of the rail.
b. Using wrenches remove the 16 bolts between the slider and ladder.
c. Lift the ladder to clear the slider and slide the slider off the bottom rail.
d. See Figure 4c for lower ladder slider surface orientation.
e. Remove and discard the four nylon pads from the front surface of the lower ladder slider assembly.
Remove the nylon pads by cutting the rivet stems using the 5/8 cold chisel and hammer.
Caution: Wear eye protection (provided onsite) and use caution when cutting the rivet stems. Use the
1/8-inch diameter punch and hammer to tap out the remaining rivet body from the pad and slider.
