h. Set Wx Beam Override Enable to False. Select Change. Select Close.
i. Set Selected REX to on line, then set Standby REX to on line.
u. Check the polarizer by clicking on the APG icon and selecting Detailed Status and Control.
v. Switch Polarizer to Manual control then select Circular.
w. Verify polarizer switches to circular with no errors then switch it back to Linear.
x. Verify the polarizer switches again to linear with no errors then select Auto.
y. Return to the main menu of the SCDI.
z. Coordinate with Air Traffic Controllers and verify there are no problems with the system and then return
control to ATC.
4.3.3 Removal and Replacement of Antenna Ladder slides
Procedure Purpose
ASR-11 Antenna Ladder may be hard to slide along the back of the ASR-11 antenna. This procedure will
replace/modify the nylon slides causing this problem. .

Use local lockout/tagout procedures when energizing, startup, or release of energy can occur. This is
necessary to make sure that other personnel cannot start the power source during maintenance. Shock
hazards can kill. Such procedures are a requirement from the latest version of Order 3900.19, FAA
Occupational Safety and Health.
Note: This procedure requires the ASR-11 SYSTEM be taken out of service; therefore coordination
must be performed with Air Traffic Services to schedule downtime before this procedure is begun.
Before shutdown, unpack items and ensure that all items are there and are not damaged.
