A - Wiring – HEATING Air Handler (A)
The Arctic Air Handler will optimize the air flow across its oversized heat exchanger when a heating call
occurs from an external room thermostat. When a “W” heating call is received the control board on the
LV-Z Air Handler will activate an external zone pump causing hot water to flow through the heat
exchanger and the fan to turn on to its optimal heating fan speed. A common thermostat will have a R
and a W heating terminal outputs. Some thermostats also require 24 VAC supply to operate and if so, you
will also connect the C on these 3 wire thermostat. Connect the R and W terminals to the R and W2
terminal on the J5 terminal strip on the air handler. (consult Air Handler Wire manual for proper pump
wiring as this can differ between models)
