Care and preventive maintenance
The Sara Plus is subject to wear and tear, and the following actions must be performed when specified to ensure that the
product remains within its original manufacturing specification.

Examine the sling, straps and clips for damage or fraying as required. Refer to sling
documentation.

Check to make sure the hand grips are secure.
Re-bond if required.

Examine the charger and wires for integrity and connections.

Warning: The points on this checklist are the minimum the manufacturer recommends. In some cases due to
heavy use of the product and exposure to aggressive environment, more frequent inspections shall be carried
out. Continuing to use this product without conducting regular inspections or when a fault is found will
seriously compromise the user and residents’ safety. Local regulations and standards may be higher than the
manufacturers. Preventive maintenance specified in this manual can prevent accidents.
Product cannot be maintained and serviced while in use with the patient.

knowledge of procedures referring to the Service Manual. Failure to meet these requirements could result in
personal injuries and/or unsafe product.

any warranty. Arjo accepts no liability for any incident, accident or reduction in performance that may
occur as a result of such repairs or modifications.
To maintain the safety of this equipment, always use only Arjo designated spare parts.
