Instrument Accuracy
1. The ratio of the CAL sample absorbance at 520 nm to the
absorbance at 730 nm for each of the CAL vials B, C, and D
2. The correct value of that ratio as provided by the Calibrator
Code
3. The percentage error of the measured ratio
4. A Pass/Fail rating at each absorbance. A Fail rating occurs if
the error exceeds 0.75%
Instrument Repeatability
1. The standard deviation of the absorbance readings at each
wavelength, for each of the calibrator vials
2. The specification for instrument repeatability at that
wavelength for that calibrator vial
3. A Pass/Fail rating at each wavelength for each of the CAL
vials. A Fail rating occurs if the standard deviation exceeds
the specification
Overall Calibration Result
The overall calibration result is a Pass if each of the previous
results was a Pass; it is a Fail if one or more of the previous results
was a Fail.
5.3 Instrument Calibration Summary
A printed summary report of the most recent instrument calibration can be
obtained, if needed. This summary gives the date, time, and number of the
last valid instrument calibration, the operator ID of the person performing
the calibration, the calibration kit lot code, and the instrument temperature
during the calibration.
5.3.1 To print out an instrument calibration summary, respond to the
instrument’s prompts as follows:
