7.2 Troubleshooting Guide (continued)

Please check the
printer
The instrument is unable to
communicate with the printer.
Ensure the printer On-Line button is
selected.
Check that the printer has paper.
Check printer cable connections.
Check AC adapter. The AC adapter
should always be plugged into printer
when in use.
PRINTER ERROR
Retry? (Yes/No)
The instrument is unable to
communicate with the printer.
If printer is unavailable or no printout is
needed, press NO.
If printer is available and a printout is
needed, perform the following checks,
then press YES.
Ensure the printer On-Line button is
selected.
Check that the printer has paper.
Check printer cable connections.
Check AC adapter. The AC adapter
should always be plugged into printer
when in use.
READING ERROR
RETRY? (Y/N)
Bad A/D reading
If after second retry, error message
persists, turn instrument power switch
off for 1 minute or longer, then power
back on. If the problem still persists, call
Artel Technical Support for assistance.
Waiting for Data
Collection Prompt
The Data Collection output is turned on
and the Instrument is waiting for a signal
from a PC to send calibration results via
the RS232 port.
If calibration results do not need to be
sent to a PC via the RS232 port, press
CLEAR. To turn off the Data Collection
output, refer to Section 6.7, “Serial Data
Output (Data Collect Flag).”
If calibration results need to be sent to a
PC via the RS232 port, check that the
PC is on and collection software is
operating properly. Also check that the
serial cable between the PCS
instrument and the PC is properly
connected.
Zero Check Failed
Remove Vial
There was an error during the re-zeroing
of the instrument. Although the CAL A
vial appeared to be acceptable, the
results of the re-zeroing were invalid.
Remove the vial. The instrument will
restart the zero check. If the message
appears again, contact Artel Technical
Support.
