Ensure that the target unit is up running and connected to
the network, for example, using the “ping” command in a
Command Prompt.
a. Click the Start button in the bottom-left corner of your
screen.
b. Enter “cmd” in the Search box and double-
click the cmd
program.
c. In the Command Prompt, enter the “ping” command
followed by the IP address of the target unit.
For example:
ping 192.168.1.10
Target unit with IP address
192.168.1.10 is up running and
connected to the network
Target unit with IP address
192.168.1.20 is not connected
to the network
