12. Hydraulic Pressure Check & Adjustment

1. Attach the gauge to the charge pressure test
port, located next to the hydraulic filters.
2. Start the engine.
3. Check the pressure with the engine at wide
open throttle. Make sure the engine is properly
warmed up before running wide open. Charge
pressure should read between 625 and 700 psi.
at this test port.

4. The charge pressure at the pump should read
between 400 and 450 psi. This can be checked
at the pump as shown in figure 12-3.
Auxiliary Pressure Check
The service tools required for the auxiliary pressure
check and adjustment are listed in Table 12-1. Use
manufacturer-recommended tools whenever possi-
ble.

1. Insert the hydraulic gauge into the test port on
the bottom of the valve. The test port has a
plastic cover.

2. Dead head whichever function you want to test.
If you want to test the loader lift pressure, raise
the loader all the way up and continue holding
the joystick even when the loader stops. Have
some one check the gauge while performing
this. Auxiliary pressure should be 3300 psi.
