Caller ID
Caller ID operation
NOTES:
If the name received from the telephone service provider is in all capital letters, the first letter
of every word remains a capital letter. However, the next letter after the prefix “Mac”, “Mc”, or
“O’”, is kept as a capital letter. For example, the “D” in “MacDonald” is kept as a capital letter.
When you try to save a caller ID entry without any caller ID information, the telephone base or
handset displays Unable to save.
If the telephone number from the caller ID information has already been saved in the directory
under a different name, the new name will overwrite the old one.
Delete caller ID log entries
To delete an entry:
Search for the desired entry in the caller ID log (see Review the caller ID log
on page 96).
When the desired entry is displayed, press MUTE/DELETE on the handset or
X/DELETE on the telephone base. The screen shows the previous caller ID
log entry. You hear a confirmation tone.
To delete all entries:
Press MENU in idle mode.
Press CID or DIR to highlight Caller ID log,
then press SELECT.
Press CID or DIR to highlight Del all calls,
then press SELECT.
When the screen shows Delete all calls?, press YES
to confirm. There is a confirmation tone and the screen
returns to the previous menu.
