- Establish immobilizer identification number by starting engine control unit self-diagnosis.
-> Display on VAS 5051:
- From list -1- select vehicle system "01 - Engine electronics".
- Wait until next display appears.

Note:
With certain engine control units, it is also possible to read out immobilizer control unit identification in measured
value block 081.

17-position vehicle identification no. (chassis number)
14-position immobilizer identification no.
- On the basis of the 14-position immobilizer/engine control unit identification number, request 7-digit PIN
from appropriate Sales Centre/importer.
Note:
The PIN is only valid for one day, after which a new number has to be requested. The PIN is of no use to the
customer or other dealerships.
