Before driving downhill a long distance on a
st eep hill, decrease your speed and select a

Overriding the speed

You can press the accelerator pedal to increase
your speed, for example if you want to pass
someo ne. The s peed you set ea rlier will resume
as soo n as you release the accelerator pedal.
However, if you are driving cons iderably faster
tha n the stored s peed for a long period of time,
the cruise cont rol system will tempora rily switch
off.

You can pre-select your desired speed when the
vehicle is stationary .
