- Careful ly pry t he se lect or lever boot out of t he trim @
using a small screwdriver .
- Pull bot h sides of the selector lever boot upwar d in the
direc t ion of t he arrow ® ·
- Fold t he selector lever boot upward .
Selector lever emergency release
- Press the release lever down and hold it in place=> fig. 90 .
- Press t he rele as e butt on in the selecto r lever © and move
t he lever into t he N position.
- Clip the selector lever boot back into the shift gate after
using t he emergency release.
If the ve hicle must be pushed or towed due to a power failure (for
example, the battery is discharged), the se lector lever must first be
moved to the N position us ing the emergency release mecha nism .
& WARNING
Only move the sele cto r lever out of the P position when the
parking brake is activated . Otherwise, the ve hicle could start to
move unintentionally whe n th e selector lever is moved out of the
P position. •
