The tachometer need le sho uld no t move into the red range. If it does,
then only for a very short period of time . You could damage your
eng ine by dr iving at hig h RPM.

Digital clock with date display
Your vehicle is equipped with a quartz controlled digital
clock.
To set the hour

- Pull the kno b (hour d isplay flashes) and turn it to the left
or right .
To set the minutes
- Pull the knob as many t imes as necessary unt il the mi nute
display flashes.
- Turn the knob to the left or right.

To hide or display the date

- Turn the knob t o the left or right.
Whe n the date display stops blinking, th is means the t ime and dat e
have been successf ully stored.
With the ignition off, push ing or pullin g the Set/Check button
=> page 8, fig. 2 ®-depending on the instrument cluster configura-
t ion - can turn on t he display field lighting fo r a few seconds. •
Engine coolant temperature gauge
The eng ine coolan t ga uge:::::, page 8, fig. 2 ® only wo rks when t he
ignition is on. To prevent damage to your eng ine, p lease note the
following impo rt ant po int s :
Engine cold
As long as the need le remains at t he left e nd of the gauge, the e ngine
st ill has not reached its operating temperature. Avoid high engine
spee ds, heavy engine loads and heavy t hrottle.
Normal temperature
Whe n t he eng ine ha s reac hed its ope rating tempe ratur e, the needle
will move into the midd le of the gauge and rema in there. If the
engine is wo rking hard at high outside tempera t ures, the needle may
turn further to the right. This is no cause for concern as long as the

war ning light in t he instr umen t clu ste r does not illumin at e. ..,
