20 Instruments and warning / indicator lights
The (a symbo l illuminates when there is an
engine control ma lfunction . The indicator
light
rm in t he instr ument cluster also illumi-
nates . The engine speed is limited to the
speed displayed in the driver information sys-
tem. Keep in mind that the eng ine speed will
not exceed t he value disp layed in t he driver in-
formation system , for example when down-
shifting.
Please go to an authorized Audi dea ler or oth -
er qualified wor kshop to have the ma lfunction
repaired .

left in the fue l tank . Time to refuel!

6 Windshield washer fluid level too low

Defective light bulb warning
The defective light bulb warning tells you
when a vehicle light bulb has become defec -
tive.
If a defective bulb has been detected by the
system or a light bulb burns out , the
II sym-
bol with a message appears in the display t o
te ll you which bulb is burnt out a nd where it is
located. For example :
Rear left turn signal
After 5 seconds, the message disappears . If
you want to reca ll t he message into the dis-
play, press the CH ECK button

There are three reasons why the defective
bulb message would appea r in the disp lay:
- The light bu lb has bur nt out

- The fuse is "blown" q page 230, Repla cing
fuses .
- The wire connection to the light bulb is de-
fect ive.
Have the bulb replaced or the conn ect ion re-
paire d by your aut horized Audi Service depa rt-
