A WARNING

- Light bulbs are pressurized and could ex-
plode while they are being changed caus-
ing serious personal injury.
- Work w ith due care when handling the
high-voltage section of gas discharge
(xenon) lamps . Failing to do so could re-
sult in death or serious injury!
BRAKE LIGHT I<®> Brake light defective
In case of a malfunction or component fail-
u re, the symbol (USA models)/
IC@'A (Canada models) can appear. The follow-
ing e lectrica l components shou ld be checked,
repaired or replaced, as necessary:
- Brake light bulbs
- All wiring connections
- Brake light switch
Contact your author ized Audi dealer for assis-
tance if necessary.
(D Tips
The brake light switch is only inspected as
part of the functional check after the en-
gine is started.
~!D Headlight range control defective
Applies to vehicles: with dynamic headlight range adjust-
ment
If the II illuminates, the dynamic headlight
range control is no longer work ing properly.
Have the system checked and repaired at your
authorized Audi dealer .
i§O Adaptive light defective
Applies to vehicles: with Adaptive Light
rlJ Adaptive light defect ive
When this symbol rlJ illuminates, it means
that Adaptive Light is defective. Go to a quali-
fied workshop to have the headlights or the
control un it for the Adaptive Light repaired .
@.o Light/rain sensor defective
Applies to vehicles: with automatic headlights
The indicator light indicates a defect in the
automatic headlights/automatic wiper sys-
tem .
If the symbol illuminates, the light sensor has
failed . For safety reasons, the low beams are
turned on permanently with the switch in
AU -
TO.
However, you can cont inue to turn the
ligh t s on and off using t he ligh t switch. In the
case of a defect in the rain sensor, the wind -
shield wiper lever functions are still availab le .
Have the light/rain sensor checked as soon as
possible at an authorized Audi dea ler .
Q Audi magnetic ride
Applies to vehicles : with Audi magnetic ride
The indicator light monitors vehicle damping.
The ind icator light E illuminates when the ig-
nition is switched on as a func t ion check .
0) Tips
If the indicato r lamp illuminates wh ile you
are driving, the re is a malfunction in the
vehicle damping. The chassis should be in-
spected immediate ly by an authorized Au-
di dealer.
-:;;'. Rear spoiler
The warning/indicator light monitors the
electrically retractable rear spoiler.
The wa rning/indicator light l'J has the follow-
ing func t ions:
- It comes on for about 3 seconds as a func-
tion check when the ign ition is switched on.
- It comes o n if there is a malfunction in the
electrically retractab le rear spo iler.
