Appearance Button Icons
Your appearance buttons can display the following icons. When the icons are shown depends on
the phone's display mode. In single-column mode the icons are always displayed. In dual-column
mode, the icons are only shown when that button is alerting or being used.
•
Off-Hook/Connected – The appearance button is either being used to make a call or is
connected on a call.
•
Call Preservation – There may be an issue with the other telephone system in your
network that hosts the user or external trunk to which your call is currently connected. You
may not be able to perform other call functions such as hold, park or transfer.
•
Conference Call – The appearance button is connected to a conference call.
•
Alerting – The appearance button has a call alerting.
•
Busy – The internal number you called is busy or not available.
•
Call On Hold/ Conference on Hold – You have an existing call on hold.
•
Call On Hold Pending Transfer/Conference – The call has been put on hold after you
pressed Transfer or Conf to start the transfer or conference process.
•
Idle – The appearance button is not in use.
•
Recording – The call is being recorded. The system administrator can disable the display
of this icon.
•
Call Disconnected – The far end of the call has disconnected. This may also appear if
the system cannot route the number dialed.
Other Icons
Whilst using the volume rocker at the bottom of the dial page to change the ringer volume or caller
volume, the following icons indicate which volume you are adjusted:
•
Ringer Volume – This changes to a icon if the volume is set to zero (the same icon
then also appears in the status bar as a reminder that the ringer is now silenced).
•
Handset Volume / Headset Volume / Speaker Volume – This changes to if
the volume is set to zero (the same icon then also appears in the status bar as a reminder
that the device is now silenced).
