Engine Reassembly:
NOTE:
When reassembling the engine, apply engine oil to sliding
parts and running parts before re-assembling.
CAUTION
• Be sure to keep the
drive belt, drive face
and driven face away
from any oil or grease.
• Install the output
shaft assembly with
a plastic mallet.
• Install the shim
drive bevel gear and
washer.
• Tighten the bevel
gear nut to the
specified torque.
• Bevel gear nut
torque: 73 ft/lbs
• Use a center punch
stake the nut.
Drive Train:
• Install the rear and
front out put shaft.
• Install the C-ring.
NOTE:
Fit the pins on the
bearing into the
groove of the crankcase.
Transfer/Gearshift:
• Install the transfer
related parts.
• Install the spacer
spring, shaft and
reverse idle gear.
• Install the washer.
Crankcase:
• Clean R and L
crankcase surfaces
with cleaning
solvent.
• Fit the dowel pins in
the holes.
• Apply engine oil
to the gears and
connecting rod.
