Engine oil level check:
• Park vehicle on a level ground.
• To be done early in the morning before engine has been started.
• For checking engine oil level use dipstick
• Pull out the dipstick & Wipe it clean with a cloth
• Insert it again to its original position.
• Pull out the dipstick and observe the oil level on the dipstick. Also check oil for any contamination.
• If the oil level is below the min. mark, top up using recommended grade of oil. Oil level should be in
between Min & Max marks of dipstick.
Engine oil top-up:
• Remove the oil filler cap on cylinder head and pour oil slowly through the filler hole to bring the oil level to
the upper limit on the dipstick.
• After refilling, start the engine and allow it to run for a minute.
• Stop the engine; let the oil settle and check the oil level again after 30 min.
Note: Check the engine oil level if “low oil pressure” warning lamp comes 'ON‘ while driving.
Oil level should not exceed the Max. mark as it may lead to high oil consumption, fouling of spark plugs,
failure of oil seals & building up of excessive carbon deposits in the engine .
