Grease Points
The following figure details the points that must be greased daily on the B40C.
There are two banks of grease points located on the machine:
On the rear chassis.
On the right side of the articulation joint.
The rear chassis grease point lubricates the rear thru drive bearing and the front and rear oscillation bearings.
The right side grease point lubricates the front thru drive gearing and the upper and lower articulation pins.
There are additional grease points in the articulation area (both sides) for the steering cylinder pins. The individ-
ual grease points on the rear chassis lubricate the lower tip cylinder pins.
The following lubrication points are greased as re-
quired, depending upon the operating conditions.
1. The door hinges.
2. The grill pivot bolt.
3. The hinges on the external boxes .
The following points are oil can lubricated depending
upon the operating conditions:
• Operator’s seat adjustment mechanisms.
• Steering column joints.
• Bonnet release catch cable.
• Throttle.
