7. Pull the straight end of the Safety Cable out to the front of the Powerside Post underneath the
Safety Sheave; make sure the Safety Cable is seated correctly in the Safety Sheave.
8. Put the straight end of the Safety Cable over the front of the Welded Pin and into the hole in the
Welded Pin with Threads, between the two nuts.
9. Pull any slack out of the Safety Cable, then tighten the nuts.
When tightening the nuts, keep tension on the Safety Cable and keep the Safety Cable centered
between the two nuts.
The following photo shows how the Safety Cable should look on the Powerside Post.
10. Operate the Safety Lock Release Handle, checking for proper operation of both Safety Assemblies.
⚠ DANGER Make sure that both the Powerside and the Offside Safety Assemblies engage
properly before using the lift.
