2.8 Presser foot
Raising and lowering the presser foot
> To raise the presser foot, push the presser foot lever upwards.
> To lower the presser foot, push the presser foot lever downwards.
Changing the presser foot sole
Removing the presser foot sole
> Switch off the machine and disconnect it from the power supply.
> Raise the presser foot.
> Raise the needle.
> To remove the presser foot sole, push the lever on the rear of the presser foot holder upwards.
Fitting the presser foot sole
Prerequisite:
• The presser foot sole is removed.
> Raise the presser foot.
NOTICE
Needle breakage caused by incorrect presser foot
If the presser foot is not suitable for the selected stitch, the needle may collide with the presser foot and
break.
> Always use a presser foot that is suitable for the stitch.
> Position the new presser foot sole under the notch in the shaft (1) so that the notch in the shaft is
positioned above the presser foot sole pin (2).
