Non-compliance with what has been stated above could compromise the safety of the appliance.
• If you decide not to use the appliance of this type anymore, it is recommended that you make it inoperable
by cutting off the mains cord after removing the plug from the mains outlet.
You should also render harmless those parts of the appliance that could be dangerous, especially
for children who might use an abandoned appliance as a toy.
Installation must be performed according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Incorrect
installation could cause damage to person, animals and things, for which the manufac-
turer cannot be held responsible.
• To avoid dangerous overheating, it is recommended that you unwind the electrical cord to its entire length
and that you use the appliance as recommended in “Warnings regarding the correct use of the appliance”.
• Do not leave the appliance connected when not in use. Remove the plug from the mains outlet when the
appliance is not used.
• Do not block openings, air intakes or heat outlets.
• If the electrical cord of this appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by an Authorized Customer Service
Centre since specialized tools are necessary.
WARNINGS REGARDING THE CORRECT USE OF THE APPLIANCE
This appliance has been designed to make espresso coffee, steam and hot water for do-
mestic use and must only be used for this purpose.
Any other use would be improper and therefore dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be
held responsible for any damage deriving from improper, incorrect or unreasonable uses
.
•
Set the appliance on a fl at, even, and stable surface.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended while turned on.
Do not leave the appliance in environments where the temperature is equal to or less than 0° C.

If the appliance will be not be used for an extended time period, empty the water tank (5).
• Upon initial installation the machine could emit burnt odors due to the insulating materials and the heating
elements: this is normal.
Do not use the appliance when the water tank is empty (5).

Do not move the appliance when in use.
While beverage is being delivered watch out for any spurts of hot liquid.
Do not touch hot machine parts [steam wand (8), cappuccino maker (9), etc.] immediately
after using machine.
Danger of scalding

Do not remove fi lter-holder (10) during delivery.
When dispensing steam from steam wand (8) always use tall containers and protect hands
with gloves or use pot-holders to avoid scalding

3b - Met koffi ezakjes
Gebruik koffi ezakjes voor espressomachines type “bar”.
Controleer of er voldoende water in het reservoir (5)
aanwezig is.
Gebruik de machine niet zonder water in het reservoir (5).
Controleer of de draaiknop (18) in de positie

staat.
• Verwijder de fi lterhouder (10) .
• Zet het gewenste fi lter in de fi lterhouder (10), let op dat vleugeltjes van het fi lter “C1” overeenkomen met
de gleuven van de fi lterhouder ”C2” (fi g. “C”).
• Leg het koffi ezakje in het midden van het fi lter (14) (fi g.“N”), let op dat eventuele papierlipjes van het
koffi ezakje in de fi lterhouder worden geplaatst.
• Zet de fi lterhouder (10) op zijn plaats (fi g.“E”).
• Druk op de verlichte schakelaar
(15) om de machine aan te zetten.
• Zet een kopje op het rooster (6) onder het tuitje van de fi lterhouder.
• Wacht totdat de verlichte verklikker espresso uitschenken
(16) niet meer knippert maar vast aanstaat
(anders wordt de pomp niet aangezet), draai vervolgens de draaiknop (18) in de positie ”
”
om het
uitschenken uit het tuitje van de fi lterhouder te starten.
• Om het uitschenken te stoppen draai opnieuw de draaiknop (18) in de positie
“
“.
De fi lterhouder (10) niet verwijderen als de draaiknop (18) niet in de positie ” ” staat.
Na het uitschenken van de espresso, verwijder de koffi ezakjes en spoel het fi lter (14) en de fi lterhouder
(10) goed af. Schud na het afspoelen de twee onderdelen om eventuele waterresten te verwijderen.
3c - Met capsules
Gebruik capsules voor espressomachines type “bar”.
Controleer of er voldoende water in het reservoir (5)
aanwezig is.
Gebruik de machine niet zonder water in het reservoir (5).
Controleer of de draaiknop (18) in de positie

• Verwijder de fi lterhouder (10)
• Zet het gewenste fi lter in de fi lterhouder (10), let op dat vleugeltjes van het fi lter “C1” overeenkomen met
de gleuven van de fi lterhouder ”C2” (fi g. “C”).
• Plaats de alumium capsule Bialetti, (fi g.“P”).
• Zet de fi lterhouder (10) op zijn plaats (fi g.“E”).
