4.3. RESPONSIBILITY OF THE INSTALLER
It is the responsibility of the installer to check the suitability of the installation and piping, to en-
sure air supply for combustion, to ensure the prescribed distances of the heating device from
the walls and other things in the room where the device is installed and the introduction of all
other necessary solutions required.
It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure that the installation of the pellet boiler complies
with the current local legislation where the boiler is installed.
The use of a pellet boiler must comply with the instructions given in the Instructions for use,
maintenance and installation and with all safety standards specied in the local legislation
where the pellet boiler is installed.
The UNI 10683 standard species the duties of an installer. The installer must check:
the type of device to be installed;
suitability of the space for installation of the unit, which is reected in the minimum re-
quired size of the space where the boiler will be built on pellets;
the manufacturer's instructions regarding the combustion appliance relating to ue gas
discharge requirements;
the inner diameter of the chimney, what material it is made of, whether the level or even and
free of obstructions;
height and, if necessary, vertical extension of the chimney;
the existence and suitability of the resistance of the chimney cover;
possibility of outside air supply;
the possibility of simultaneous use of the generator for connection with other equipment.
If the results of all the above checks are positive, installation can begin. Carefully follow the in-
structions provided by the manufacturer as well as applicable safety and re safety standards.
When the boiler has been started for the rst time, a test of at least 30 minutes must be carried
out to verify all the necessary requirements.
When the installation is complete, the installer must provide the customer with the following:
Instructions for use, maintenance and installation from the manufacturer (if they are not
already part of the unit);
required documentation in accordance with applicable standards,
perform customer training to operate and regularly maintain and clean the device.
