In any case, it is mandatory to provide an initial vertical pipe of at least 1.5 m. This is the only
way to ensure proper ue gas discharge.
5.4. SUPPLY AIR
The air from the room needed for proper combustion must be restored with new air, either
through an openingon the wall, gaps in the boiler room door or a mesh on the window. This will
ensure proper combustion and proper operation of the boiler.
The fresh air inlet must be equipped with a protective slot against rain, wind and insects. The
hole must be made on the outer wall of the room where the boiler is located.
The UNI 10683 standard prohibits the intake of supply air from the warehouse with combus-
tible materials or rooms where there is a possibility of re.
In case there are other heating devices in the room, it is necessary to provide sucient amount
of air required for the proper combustion of all combustion appliances and to take into account
all the technical characteristics of the already installed ventilation systems in the boiler room.
