9. PELLETS
The quality of the pellets is important. Various types and dimensions of pellets appear on the
market, it is very important to provide yourself with pellets that do not contain impurities. Be
sure to use only pellets that are compact and dust-free. Ask your supplier about suitable pel-
lets, the diameter of which should be 6 mm and the length up to 30 mm. Proper operation of
the pellet boiler depends on types and qualities of pellets.
The pellets are lled into the hopper from the top through an opening in the folding lid of the
hopper(Picture 10). Make sure that hard objects, foil or other objects that could interfere with
the operation of the dosing auger do not get into the storage tank during lling.
People with spinal cord injuries and pregnant women should avoid lifting
pellet bags.
The manufacturer is in no way responsible for damage caused by the use
of poor quality pellets, nor for poor performance of the boiler due to the
poor quality of the pellets used.
The pellets must comply with DIN 51731, DIN plus, Ö-Norm M-7135 or
other comparable European standards.
9.1. PELLET STORAGE
Pellets should be stored in a dry and not too cold place.
Cold and humid pellets (temperatures around 5°C) reduce thermal power and require more
frequent boiler cleaning.
PELLETS SHOULD NOT BE STORED NEAR THE PELLET BOILER. Keep them
at least 1/2 meter away.
When handling pellets, be careful not to scatter them.
If you pour sawdust into the hopper, it can block the pellet dosing system.
