6.4 Insulation resistance test
An insulation resistance check must not be carried out
in an installation
with Biral pumps with built-in electronics, as these may be
damaged by it.
The pump must be electrically separated for any test.
Insulation resistance test of pumps A…, AW..., AD…
1. Switch off / interrupt the distribution voltage.
Wait 10 min until the voltage has dissipated!
2. Disconnect the lines
from terminal L and N and the ground wire.
3. Short-circuit terminal L and N with a short line
(see A)
4. Unscrew the screw for the electronics’ ground connection
(see B).
5. Test at max. 1500 VAC / DC between terminals L / N
and the grounding (see C).
Warning: Under no circumstances should the test
be between phase (L) and (N).
Max. admissible leakage current < 25mA.
6. Remove the test device (C).
7. Replace the screw (B) for the electronic earth connection.
8. Remove the short line between terminal L and N
(see A).
11. Connect lines (L) and (N) and the ground wire
10. Switch on the distribution voltage.
