Mobile home installation
Two holes are provided in the pedestal base of
the unit to allow for anchoring down the
appliance. To access the mounts simply remove
the pedestal back panel which houses the fan.
CLEARANCES TO COMBUSTIBLES
Minimum clearances listed above must be
maintained. Also ensure that you have left
clearance for servicing and that that the proposed
termination location is correct.
LOCATING YOUR STOVE
IMPORTANT: This appliance's venting system is
room sealed, which means that there should be no
provision to allow room air to be used in the
combustion process.
VENTING
Note: Only venting systems listed in this
manual may be used with the Contemporary.
The Simpson Duravent GS
®
vent system is
listed for use with the Contemporary, except
for the snorkel. See the next page for a full
parts list.
PLANNING YOUR VENT INSTALLATION
This type of direct vent system may terminate in
one of two ways: Vertical termination using a vent
cap, or Horizontally using a wall termination. There
are limitations to the vertical and/or horizontal
lengths. When calculating the length of the vent
pipe from the outlet of the appliance to termination,
allow for ceiling thickness, vertical rise in the attic
or second story and sufficient vertical height above
the roof.
Fire stops are required at each floor level the vent
passes through.
When carrying out vertical installations that require
45° elbows add additional pipe to allow for the
offset.
