Fault Cause and troubleshooting
Detergent dosage is too high.
▶ Immediate measure: Mix one tablespoon of fabric
softener with 0.5 litres of water and pour the mix-
ture into the compartment for manual dosing (not
for outdoor clothing, sportswear or items stuffed
with down).
▶ If intelligent dosing is activated, reduce the basic

▶ If you dose manually, reduce the amount of deter-
gent for the next washing cycle with the same load.
Drum cleaning is required.

All other error codes. Malfunction
1. Switch the appliance off and then on again.
2. If the message appears again, disconnect the appli-
ance from the power supply for at least 30 seconds
by pulling out the plug or by switching off the relev-
ant circuit breaker in the fuse box.
a If the fault was a one-off, the message disappears.
3. If the message appears again, call the after-sales
service. Please specify the exact error message
when calling.

The drying time is too
long.
The ambient temperature is greater than 30°C.
▶ Ensure that the ambient temperature is below 30
°C.
Insufficient air circulation at the appliance's installation
location.
▶ Ventilate the appliance's installation location.
Fluff has accumulated in the drum.
▶ Run the Cottons90°C programme without any
laundry or detergent.
Creasing. The load is too large.
The laundry lies in the drum for too long after drying.
1. Remove the laundry from the drum as soon as the
drying programme has finished.
2. Spread the items of laundry for cooling.
Unsuitable programme for the type of fabric.
