1.0 Introduction
Use this guide to identify the cause of a D9412GV2 or D7412GV2 Control Panel symptom, and to determine the
appropriate corrective action.
Many of the troubleshooting procedures contained in this guide vary depending on the system’s point
expansion technology.
Before you begin a troubleshooting procedure, ensure you know what kind of point expansion
technology (if any) is connected to each zonex bus (for example, D8125MUX, D8125INV, D8125,
D8128C, D8128D). For more information on determining the configuration of a system, refer to
Section 4.1 Researching the Configuration of Points in an Existing Installation on page 113.
Locate the symptom category in Table 1, then proceed to the appropriate troubleshooting table. Find the
symptom you need to troubleshoot, then perform the suggested corrective action. If the corrective action is to
proceed to a Troubleshooting Test Procedure (TTP), then perform that test procedure to identify the symptom’s
