Storage
HDD manage
Here you can view and manage the HDD(s) installed in your DVR:
– SATA: shows the current selected hard disk where the system will continuously record,
overwriting the oldest unprotected video on the hard disk with newer video. When an
HDD is working properly, it is shown as O; if an HDD error has occurred, it is shown as X
– E-SATA (only available on the DIVAR 5000): shows the current selected hard disk where
the system will continuously record. If required, press the ESATA button to access a new
status screen where you can detect ESATA connections.
– The various buttons on this screen are described below:
– Slot.: Select a HDD from the dropdown list to manage its settings – see below.
– Mode: Select an HDD mode from the dropdown list:
– Read/Write
– Read-only
– Format: format all data on the HDD – here you will need to enter your password to
confirm the format process

System reboot required
You must reboot the system to activate any modifications
The bottom half of the screen shows the current HDD type, status, capacity and the recording
time(s).
Recording
Here you can manage the storage of recordings:
HDD full: assign here what to do when the HDD is full
– Overwrite old recordings starting with the oldest (default)
– Stop recording
Auto delete old files: assign what to do with old files on the storage device
– Overwrite old recordings starting with the oldest (default)
– Stop recording
Main stream recording: assign here how to record the main stream on each individual
channel
– Schedule - record according to the scheduled times set in the tab Schedule
– Forced on - record continuously
– Off - do not record
Sub stream recording: assign here how to record the sub stream on each individual channel
– Schedule - record according to the scheduled times set in the tab Schedule
– Forced on - record continuously
– Off - do not record
