Security
It is recommended to set a password to prevent unauthorized use of the CONFIGURATION,
UPDATE, STATUS and RESTART pages.

When a password is set for access to one or more of the available functions, the user will get a
pop up window when accessing this function and has to enter the password into the
password field of the pop up window. Additionally, a user name can be entered but this is not
necessary.
Configuration/Update password
Default: not set
Enter up to 24 characters to protect the configuration and firmware updates pages of the
device. Enter 25 characters to erase the current password. To log out click on the Logout
button below the menu bar. On the Configuration and Update page only one user can log in at
a time. Other login attempts will be refused.
Status Page View Password
Default: not set
Enter up to 24 characters to protect viewing the devices Status Page. Enter 25 characters to
erase the current password. To log out click on the Logout button below the menu bar. On the
Status page several users can log in simultaneously.
Command/Reboot Password
Default: not set
Enter up to 24 characters to secure the Reboot page as well as the access to all control and
command interfaces (WEB/CGI, Serial, TCP, and UDP). Enter 25 characters to erase the
current password. To log out click on the Logout button below the menu bar. On the Reboot
page only one user can log in at a time. Other login attempts will be refused.
