5.1 Battery
A battery is integrated to buffer the internal data.
Battery type: lithium
Size: AA
Voltage: 3.6 V
If the remaining battery capacity becomes critical, the BT 6.190 issues
the error message ”Battery in BT6 empty”.

L Include replacement of the battery in the regular maintenance schedule.
Replacement: no later than every 4 years.
CAUTION
Damage possible due to improper handling of electronic modules!
Therefore, the battery must be replaced only by an authorized pro-
fessional!
CAUTION
Loss of the codes stored in the BT 6.190!
If power is not supplied via X1 to the BT 6.190 for more than 1 mi-
nute if the battery is fully discharged or during battery replace-
ment, all entered codes may be lost!
Therefore, check whether your codes are still active after repla-
cing the battery.
Battery replacement
1. Switch off the power for the system.
2. Only for hand−held terminal:
loosen the 4 fastening screws on the rear of the hand−held terminal
housing and carefully remove the BT 6.190 from the housing.
3. Remove all connection cables from the BT 6.190.
4. Only for rack−mounted module:
ensure that the BT 6.190 cannot fall out of the mounting hole and loo-
sen the fastening clamps on the sides of the BT 6.190 housing.
5. Only for rack−mounted module:
unhook the fastening clamps and pull the device forwards out of the
mounting hole.
