3. The Boxer has two saddle fuel tanks (Item 1, Figure 3–3). Remove cap (Item 2,
Figure 3-3) and visually inspect fuel level. Make sure that each tank has been
lled on a daily basis.

• Carefully pour the fuel into the tank, until fuel level is at bottom of ll spout.
• Allow engine to cool before lling fuel tanks.
• Do not overll, fuel could spill onto hot engine parts and ignite or explode.
4. Check engine coolant level.
The coolant is hot and under pressure. DO NOT check until the engine radiator is cool
to the touch.
• Remove radiator cap (Item 1, Figure 3–4) and check the radiator uid level. The proper
coolant level will be to the bottom of ller neck.
