6.2.2 Installing the Wide Array Edge Sensor

In order to achieve optimal guiding results, please observe the
following:
►
Use the fixing holes (Ø7mm) in the sensor housing for fastening
the sensor. Fixing dimensions see Ultrasonic Wide Array Edge
Sensors US SEN 300 ... 309, page 14 and Infrared Wide Array
Edge Sensors IR SEN 400 ... 409, page 16.
►
Install the sensor on a torsion-resistant mount. The mounting
bracket available as an accessory simplifies the installation and
alignment of the sensor.
►
Align the sensor rectangularly to the web running direction.
►
Align the sensor in such a way that the web of material runs in
the middle of the sensor gap (in the middle between the two
measuring transducers).
►
Minimize vertical fluctuations (flutter) of the web of material
within the sensor measuring range.
