4. The test takes 60 seconds to complete and a timer bar
appears indicating how much time is remaining on the
test.
5. The following steps occur during the test:
The laser is turned off and the detector is allowed to
stabilize at Gain 1.
Minimum, maximum, and average signal data are
collected for laser off.
The laser is turned on and the detector is allowed to
stabilize.
Minimum, maximum, and average signal data are
recorded for laser on.
The offset between laser on and laser off, and the
amount of variation in laser signal are determined.
Test results are displayed.
6. Passing requirements for the Optics Test are:
Laser on/off offset must be between 0.5 – 80mV
Laser off stability must be within 1.5mV
Laser on stability must be within 1.5mV.
7. Once the test is completed, press Done to return to the
main screen, or press Test to repeat the test.
8. If the test has failed, refer to the following table, Optics
Test Results, for possible fail messages and their
solutions.
