1 General information
Thisowner'smanualhelpsyoufamiliariseyourselfwithyournewboat'scharacteristics.The
manuals for the engine and all other equipment installed in the boat are included in the delivery,
and various sections of this manual make reference to the manuals. You can add the manuals
for any additional equipment you buy to these manuals.
2 Denitions

The units of measurement used in this manual refer to the International System of Units (SI). In
some cases, other units may have been added in brackets. Wind speed is an exception to this
rule. The Recreational Craft Directive uses the Beaufort scale to indicate wind speeds, and for
consistency this manual uses the same scale.
3 Guarantee
A guarantee is granted for the boat and the factory-installed equipment under the terms
andconditionsdenedinaseparatedocument.Asregardsthemotor,trimtabs,compass,
navigationequipment,andanyotherretrottedequipment,themanufactureroftheequipmentis
directly responsible for the guarantee. The boat is supplied with separate guarantee documents
for this equipment. For all other warranty issues please contact your Buster dealer.
4 Before using the boat
4.1 Registration and insurance
In some countries it may be mandatory to register boats of your boat type, and operating the
boatmaybesubjecttoqualicationand/orminimumagerequirements.Beforeyoubegin
usingtheboat,ndoutwhetheritneedstoberegisteredorifitissubjecttoanyotherocial
requirements. Depending on the policy, boat insurance may cover damage that occurs during
the use of the boat, in transportation or during dry-docking. If you intend to lift the boat, check
thatyourinsurancealsocoversthis.Insurancealsohasanindirectinuenceonboatingsafety:
in the event of a serious accident, it allows you to concentrate on saving lives rather than
property. Detailed information on insurance policies is available from insurance providers.
4.2 Training
Safe operation of the boat requires prior training and practice. Boating manuals are widely
available, and boating associations and clubs arrange navigation courses. Books and courses
provide good preliminary skills, but mastery of boat handling, navigation, mooring and anchoring
requires many years of practice.
